This is the first batch of comments about the site. After I received about 10 or so, I realized that I should have added a counter to the site to keep track of traffic; two days after the site was posted I put one on.

Hey...we looked at the website for Caleb. It's wonderful. I cried at the journal excerpt that he wrote his first year at ECU...beautiful. Thanks for sharing this and I hope that working on this helps you express your grief.

Hi, guys! Just getting ready for Florida trip, and it's pouring here so we'll be glad to get away. . I just checked out the web site done by Caleb's brother--so touching--and how I wish I'd had a chance to meet your young man. Clearly, he made his mark on a lot of others in his young life--something that many folks don't do even when they live to be 90.

I have just looked at this--wonderful!!!! Thank you so much for sharing it. It is with much love and warm memories I think of Caleb. He was a real treasure and I am so grateful to have known him.

I just finished viewing and experiencing one of the most powerful tributes I have ever seen - My Brother Caleb. Wow, I'm overwhelmed ! Realy, truly overwhelmed...It has to be so hard for you, I can hardly begin to imagine.

I thought the tribute was beautiful. It shows how much you loved your brother and admired him as a person and an artist. He was very talented. I look forward to seeing more of his work. The quotes from Caleb's journal were very touching. A lot of care went into organizing all those memories. It comes straight from your heart. I thought the pictures and your captions spoke the most. It was an excellent idea to organize the site the way you did. You put a lot of love into the tribute. It moved me.

I just got a chance to look at it today, that must have been alot of work, it was very IMPRESSIVE. Your brothers paintings are BEAUTIFUL. Talent definetely must run in your family!

Thank you for sharing the url for your brother's memorial website. You have done a wonderful job and created a excellent tribute to him. I looked at the pictures and read the comments. They were all very touching. Thank you for being so courageous to share them with us. I am very impressed with Caleb's work. He was very talented. As evidenced by the site he did not get all of the family talent. You have done a magnificent job with it. I hope and pray that happy memories and thoughts can replace the sadness of your loss.

That is so lovely. I have a big knot in my throat and am for once, speechless. What a wonderful thing to do for the memory of his brother. How tragic that such a thing happened, but how blessed are those who actually knew Caleb and got to have him in their lives for such a short time. Your friend, the brother, it seems is also a wonderful person and I'm sure a blessing to those whose paths he crosses...

Thank you so much for this--what an incredible guy---

That website is very touching. It made me cry. Caleb's art is beautiful, I would love to know what he was feeling as he painted. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry to learn of your friend's brothers' death--but it's a loving tribute your friend has created. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for sharing this. I just read the message for the first time. It's funny how these kinds of things add such perspective in the middle of all of this chaos. I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. He was a very talented artist... and it appears, more importantly, a wonderful person to have known.

I know it's been years since we have spoken but my mom forwarded the website you did for Caleb and I just wanted to tell you how wonderful it is. I truly enjoyed and will continue to visit. I was very saddened and shocked when my mom called and told me the news of Caleb. I was also very very sad I couldn't come to NC for the memorial. I'm sure creating the website must have been difficult for you but you have done a beautiful job despite the pain you are feeling. You have truly honored Caleb. I hope the pain has eased a bit for you. You all have been in my thoughts since November.

This is wonderful!! What a brother you are! Take care...
